Meet the Prince of Cambridge

BY MICHELLE FLYNN

The world anxiously awaited the arrival of the newest addition to the royal family. Speculation over gender and which name the family would choose for the smallest member of the family surrounded the media buzz for the length of the Duchess's pregnancy. Finally, the world has to wait no longer.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have welcomed a baby boy!

Prince Louis Arthur Charles of Cambridge, was born April 23, 2018, at 11:01 PM in St. Mary’s Hospital London, weighing a healthy 8lbs. 7oz. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are said to be “over the moon” at the arrival of their healthy baby boy.

Prince Louis is fifth in line of succession to the British throne, following his grandfather, father, and older sibling Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

The newest Prince is named in honor of his great-great-great-uncle, Lord Mountbatten, and his grandfather, the Prince of Wales.

In addition, he is the first British prince to be ranked behind an elder sister, thanks to the implementation of the Perth Agreement.

These past few months have been quite eventful for the royal family as they have now introduced two new members to the family: Louis, and now Harry’s bride, Ms. Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex.
