People are quickly being infected with COVID-19 in the Eastern hemisphere, while the death toll rises because of the Coronavirus within the last two months. The death toll is rising because this virus is very contagious and is spreading rapidly by human interaction.

The Coronavirus is a deadly virus that originated in China and has spread to many other countries, unfortunately it is continuing to spread quickly. Some other countries that have been infected include: Australia; Finland; France; Germany, India; Italy; Japan; Nepal; the Philippines; Russia; Sweden; Thailand; Vietnam; the United Kingdom and the United States.

People have been told that if they are feeling ill, even the slightest bit. They should see a healthcare professional. Some symptoms include shortness of breath, a fever or a cough. In the article, “Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19),” by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,  the CDC noted, “…at this time…symptoms of COVID-19 may appear in as few as 2 days or as long as 14 days after exposure.”

This statistic has been based on the MERS-CoV virus that was a pandemic years ago. Unfortunately the newest virus, the Coronavirus, has no cure at the moment and there is no vaccination to prevent other people from getting it either.

The Coronavirus which is killing many people, is detrimental to societies and is spreading. In the article, “January 23 Coronavirus news,” by Joshua Berlinger, Steve George, James Griffiths and Jack Guy, “At least 25 people are dead in China and more than 800 infected as the Wuhan Coronavirus continues to spread throughout Asia and across the world.”

Sadly, the death toll is rising higher and higher. Though, the CDC and healthcare officials are doing everything in their power to contain the virus, so it can prevent others from getting infected. The Associated Press reported, “There are concerns that clusters of the new Coronavirus in Iran, as well as in Italy and South Korea, could signal a serious new stage in its global spread.”

Obviously, many citizens are being affected in one way or another and are worried about the risks this could cause to wildlife as well as the population overall. There have been many deaths and a decline in the population, which is detrimental to society.

Many people have been in quarantine when they entered the United States of America, especially those who came from China. In the article, “January 31 Coronavirus news,” by Helen Regan, Jessie Yeung, Steve George and Fernando Alfonso, “…195 Americans…flew from Wuhan to California on Wednesday. They’ve been staying at March Air Reserve Base since then under a three-day voluntary quarantine…A quarantine order like this was last used in the 1960s for smallpox evaluation….”

Clearly, this virus is extremely harmful and is a serious issue. Anyone who enters this country will be tested and put in quarantine for the safety of other civilians.

Non-infected citizens can continue to wash their hands and see a doctor if they feel even the slightest bit ill to prevent the continuous spread of this fatal virus.
