Vacation Destination
By Lia Bucello
As summer break is right around the corner, everyone must be eager to start preparing for their vacations. I speak for myself, and many, when I say I can’t wait any longer to get an escape from my yearly stresses, and that’s why I’m presenting you with one of my top vacations destinations that is on my wishlist.
Nice, France
Nice, France is located on the Southeast coast of France. With its crystal blue water, warm temperatures, and its historic, old-timey feel, it’s a very popular spot for tourists.
Nice contains miles of pristine sandy beaches that stretch along the beautiful, turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea. From sunbathing and swimming to water sports and leisurely walks along the shore, the beaches of Nice offer something for everyone. From exploring the Vieille Ville to the Monastère Notre-Dame-de-Cimiez, you can have a field day running around.
For art enthusiasts, Nice is home to several renowned museums. The Musée Matisse showcases the works of the famous French painter, Henri Matisse; while the Musée Marc Chagall houses a stunning collection of the artist's masterpieces. The Musée d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain features contemporary art exhibits and installations, providing a glimpse into the city's vibrant artistic scene.
Not only are there many sight-seeing opportunities, the food in Nice is apparently stellar, especially the local cuisine. One famous dish is the Niçoise salad, served with lettuce (of course), green beans, tomatoes, tuna, hard-boiled eggs, and olive oil.
Nice is definitely on my bucket list for traveling, as it should be yours.
